Admissions
APPLYING FOR A PLACE
Parents/carers will need to contact Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council Admissions team on 01642 526605 or email school.admissions@stockton.gov.uk
Once the above has taken place, Admissions will be in touch with the Academy to obtain approval for the transfer to go ahead. Once approval has been granted, the Academy will be in touch with yourselves to arrange a visit to the school and to organise uniform and a start date.
We aim to complete the transfer process within a two-week period.
IN YEAR Admissions
Stockton Borough Council manages in-year admissions for Thornaby Academy on behalf of the Trust and so parents wishing to make an application should do so by contacting school admissions schooladmissions@stockton.gov.uk. Where the application is refused, details of how to appeal will be provided in the letter.
YEAR 6 TRANSITION
Making the transition from primary to secondary education can seem a daunting prospect for many young people. At Thornaby Academy we aim to support students every step of the way. We work closely with our primary schools to ensure that students have the opportunity to take part in events at the Academy throughout Key Stage 2. We also provide expert teaching, which can be delivered in the primary school itself, to support the delivery of specialist subjects.
